The article presents the issue of wages and discusses the modern theory of
wages. It refers to the problems of defi ning wages, of determining and measuring the value of work and of the wage justice. The keynote of the article is the
criticism of the Universal Basic Income. The author rejects the assumption that
the market itself shapes the level of wages, as well as the idea of limiting wage
policy to the public sector.
